Nestled in the scenic Wategos Beach in Byron Bay, this project is a refined architectural gem that beautifully integrates contemporary design with its natural surroundings. The residence features a striking rendered concrete facade, expansive glazing that captures panoramic views of the coastline, and premium finishes that contribute to a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic.

 

The design harmonises with the stunning beachside environment, offering an elegant blend of modern materiality and natural elements. The spacious interiors are framed by large windows that invite natural light and showcase the breathtaking views of Wategos Beach. High-end finishes and thoughtful design choices create a refined living space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

 

Our role in this project was to transform the initial concept into a fully developed architectural reality. We collaborated closely with structural engineer Phil Wallace, interior designers CG Studio, and builder MRH, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to completion through regular site visits and detailed discussions.

 

Wak’a Designs built upon the original ideas from Thais Pupio and Orbit Architecture, focusing on high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship. The result is a home that not only enhances its coastal setting but also provides a luxurious and enduring living experience.
